Pultruded fiberglass angles are made of a composite material that consists of polyester resin and fiberglass. The pultrusion process produces fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), with a continuous length of reinforcing fibers that are lightweight yet strong thanks to their high tensile strength.
Fiberglass angles are ideal for use in high traffic areas such as drilling rig outdoor walkways, sewage treatment plants, livestock...
FRP angle steel is a reinforced composite material that is made by hot pultrusion machine drawing continuous fiberglass yarn and resin. Pultruded fiberglass angles retain the high strength properties of fiberglass. At the same time, the coating resin smooths the surface of the angle steel, making it corrosion resistant, not easy to crack or break, and provides long-term performance compared to steel and aluminum profiles. The ratio of high-strength and lightweight FRP angle steel is 2/3 of aluminum and 1/4 to 1/5 of carbon steel. Fiberglass angle steel is therefore an alternative to metal angle steel.
